The company employs a growing number of professional engineers, technologists and DERs with extensive experience in structures, avionics, interiors, powerplants, and flammability on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems. TASS Inc has been a supplier of engineering services to the Boeing Company for over 13 years and currently provides full time expertise both on-site and off-site.
Glyn Taylor, President and Chief Executive Officer
Glyn started TASS Inc in 1997. As an FAA DER and EASA CVE, Glyn has been involved in STC projects, repairs and TC programs in multiple Regulatory environments. Glyn’s 29 years of experience with The Boeing Company, British Aerospace and as an independent DER offer a diverse and extensive understanding of the industry.
John Brom, Chief Operating Officer
John has 30 plus years of aerospace experience and has conducted consulting engagements for leading aviation and aerospace companies across the globe. He has expertise in the aerospace original equipment manufacturer, maintenance, repair and overhaul sectors and R&D for space shuttle program. Previously Vice President with Aloha Airlines, General Manager with Air New Zealand and Senior Consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. John began his engineering career at KLM, Royal Dutch Airlines.
Damian Horrigan, PhD, Chief Technology Officer
Damian has over 15 years of aviation experience with 7 in airline senior management roles. Formerly Director of Engineering at Air New Zealand Engineering Services he was responsible for the fleet management of the Air New Zealand jet fleets. Prior to that he was Design Engineering Manager for Air New Zealand and Ansett Airlines, managing all of the modification and repair engineering. Damian received his PhD in 1994 from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in the area of fatigue and fracture mechanics. He has subsequently performed a significant amount of structures engineering and damage tolerance analysis for Part 25 aircraft and is a Structures DER. He has published over 20 papers in international journals and many papers in published conference proceedings. Currently Damian is responsible for the Certification and R&D department of TASS Inc
Andrew Freese, Managing Director Asia Pacific
Andrew is presently responsible to develop TASS in the Asia Pacific area. Andrew has 12 years of experience in the commercial airline engineering and has previously worked for Qantas and Air New Zealand as a design approval signatory for structures, systems and interiors. Previous experience also includes eight years of work on military fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
Kalyana Obeysekara- Msc , MBA - Head of Design TASS-EU Ltd
Kalyana leads the TASS-EU Stansted Group's Design organization within Europe. He holds two degrees, Msc and MBA. Kalyana has over 24 years experience in the commercial aviation field on Boeing and Airbus aircrafts. He previously held senior positions at Srilankan Airline , GAMCO Abu-Dhabi and SR Technics UK where he held design approval signatory for structures, interiors, and weight & balance. He also held the positions of Team Leader and Head of Office of Airworthiness position in the SR Technics UK Design office.
Justin Brynestad P.E., Director of Engineering
Justin has been with TASS Inc since March 2001 and is responsible for the Engineering Team and all modification and repair engineering. Justin graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has moved on to earn his Professional Engineering License. Justin has experience with certification in multiple regulatory agencies. He has been responsible for internal Engineering, Manufacturing and Corporate improvement policies and procedures as well as Business Development activities.
Byron Petrossian P.M.P., Director of Technical Operations
Byron has 25 plus years of aerospace experience ranging from Military Aircraft Support, through both Commercial Airline and Aerospace Manufacturing technical management. He has expertise in Maintenance Programs, Capacity Planning, Fleet management and has provided on-site technical support for several MRO's around the world. Previously Director Planning and Maintenance Programs with Aloha Airlines, Manager Technical Services with Aviation Partners Boeing, and Line Maintenance Structures Mechanic with Hawaiian Airlines. Byron began his career in Aviation by serving 7 years with the US NAVY as a Structural Supervisor.
