June 24-24, 2011 - The 2–day race, held at the Oregon Raceway Park (Grass Valley, Oregon), was one of a nationwide endurance series for cars are purchased, fixed up, and track-prepped for a total value of $500 or less (with exceptions for approved safety equipment, brakes, and wheels/tires). The race benefits the Speedway Children’s Charities. While the “TASS Go” team did not win, they did finish the race and won the “Most Heroic Fix” Award.
At the awards ceremony, the presenter had this to say about TASS Go. “We saw some engine changes. Some head repairs....we see a lot of those at LeMons. We saw one team build a shift cable out of a boat cable. That was interesting. But this group made a very unfortunate choice in cars. They bought a dirt track racer that hadn't run in several years. They always blow up in the first hour so we didn't give these guys much hope. When it showed up at tech inspection it still didn't run. This team made a bad decision..... and stuck with it. Not only did they get it started, but the managed to keep it on the track all day, both days AND finish the race."
